While the Diary of a Mad Hedge Fund Trader focuses on investment over a one week to six-month time frame, Mad Day Trader, provided by Jim Parker, will exploit money-making opportunities over a brief ten minute to three day window. It is ideally suited for day traders, but can also be used by long-term investors to improve market timing for entry and exit points.
Those wishing to play today's little lotto.
LNKD...25 April 14 180 Call
2.90 is about Mid-market.
NFLX...25 April 14 370 Call
These are almost 4 times as expensive as last qtr's earnings trading around $8.50 dollars.
The last time NFLX reported the stock price was 20 dollars lower, and a similar call could be bought for around $2.50.
The options boys do not seem so eager to sell premium this qtr as they were last qtr.
NFLX held the 200 day mvg avg near today's low @ 339.30 , so the past of least resistance seems up.
I'm not expecting the indices to do much of anything.
Look to the weekly options to play the little lotto (short term directional bets on earnings releases) in individual names.
AUD/NZD...109.13 is resistance, with resting buy stops above 109.48.
Running the Buy stops leaves way for a move to 110.60.
