While the Diary of a Mad Hedge Fund Trader focuses on investment over a one week to six-month time frame, Mad Day Trader, provided by Jim Parker, will exploit money-making opportunities over a brief ten minute to three day window. It is ideally suited for day traders, but can also be used by long-term investors to improve market timing for entry and exit points.

Stocks...
Spu's...I need to see one more close over 2097 for higher.
Nasd 100...4430-36 will be resistance and the closing upside pivot.
SOXX...put in an ORH week. As Long as this remains above 95.25 the pattern looks good.
FEYE...I bought the channel break out Friday.?
NFLX... 457 is fib resistance. Earnings is this week Wednesday after the close.
XLV...needs some sustained price action over 74.17 to not put in a double top on a weekly chart.
Bonds ...
Bund... A close over 159.30 is needed for higher. Then look for this to move in 100 point increments.
10 Yr. Bonds...I'm friendly to the pattern as long as we maintain above 128.24.
TBT...today's resistance comes in app 42.90.
FX...
EURO...107.11 is resistance the first time up. Closing under 105.40 will lead to the low 101's.
Commodities...
Gold... (K) May is the active contract.
General Comments or Valuable Insight
VIX...is the fly in the ointment. Every time we see readings below 13 the U.S. Indices tend to go into profit taking mode.
Buying VIX Call Spreads against a Long Only portfolio has proven profitable at these levels. The April options expire Wednesday leaving no time in this serial to make money.
Be aware of the technical levels in the Indices, moreover pay attention to the names you're involved in and treat them independently.
The action is in the names in the U.S, not the indexes.
SELL 15 VGK ?56 4/17/15 Calls? @ 65 Filled 4/6/15
I'm cancelling this resting order....
BUY? AUD/NZD @ 99.96?...got close before the RBA meeting last week with a 100.20 low.
That was a great low, however it's still early without some more time to determine just how big of a low that will be.
A couple of clients let me know they legged the spread via the futures @ parity.
Excellent Job!
