When John identifies a strategic exit point, he will send you an alert with specific trade information as to what security to sell, when to sell it, and at what price. Most often, it will be to TAKE PROFITS, but, on rare occasions, it will be to exercise a STOP LOSS at a predetermined price to adhere to strict risk management discipline.

I have to learn how to be less aggressive. That’s a new thing for me.
Overnight, Home Depot fell by $11.48, eating up our entire safety cushion on this position. As risk control is the order of the day, I am bailing.
I am therefore selling the Home Depot (HD) March 2020 $210-$220 in-the-money vertical Bull Call spread at $8.10 or best.
This takes me to a neutral position over the weekend.
This was a bet that Home Depot (HD) will not trade below $220 by the March 20 option expiration day in 11 trading days. It only took a day to fall nearly that far.
Here are the specific trades you need to exit this position:
Sell 11 March 2020 (HD) $210 calls at…….....…….………$22.00
Buy to cover short 11 March 2020 (HD) $220 calls at….$13.90
Net Cost:………………..........……..…….………..………….….....$8.10
Loss: $8.70 - $8.10 = -$0.60
(11 X 100 X -$0.60) = -$660.

The best execution can be had by placing your bid for the entire spread in the middle market and waiting for the market to come to you.
The difference between the bid and the offer on these deep in-the-money spread trades can be enormous.
