When John identifies a strategic exit point, he will send you an alert with specific trade information as to what security to sell, when to sell it, and at what price. Most often, it will be to TAKE PROFITS, but, on rare occasions, it will be to exercise a STOP LOSS at a predetermined price to adhere to strict risk management discipline.

I am going to use today’s 400-point opening rally to take profits and reduce risk. Even though these options expire in three days, I don’t have enough cushion to handle another 3,000-point dive in the Dow.
I am therefore selling the Microsoft (MSFT) March 2020 $120-$125 in-the-money vertical BULL CALL spread at $4.80 or best. By coming out here, you get to take home 66.66% of the maximum potential profit in three trading days.
DO NOT USE MARKET ORDERS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
This was a bet that Microsoft shares will NOT fall below $125.00 by the March 20 option expiration date in 7 trading days.
Here are the specific trades you need to execute this position:
Sell 23 March 2020 (MSFT) $120 calls at…….....….…$21.00
Buy short 23 March 2020 (MSFT) $125 calls at…..….$16.20
Net Proceeds:………………………….…………..…..….….....$4.80
Profit: $4.80 - $4.40 = $0.40
(23 X 100 X $0.40) = $920 or 9.09% in 3 trading days.

The best execution can be had by placing your bid for the entire spread in the middle market and waiting for the market to come to you.
The difference between the bid and the offer on these deep in-the-money spread trades can be enormous.
Don't execute the legs individually or you will end up losing much of your profit. Spread pricing can be very volatile close to expiration.
